Each lodge offers the following
facilities:
A beautiful and very spacious open
plan living/dining room with lots of natural light. Double doors
lead out onto a wooden deck with garden furniture.
The fully fitted kitchen features an
oven/hob, microwave, fridge and all necessary kitchen utensils and
crockery.
Washer/dryer, dishwasher, hairdryers,
storage room, satellite T.V., are all provided.
The lodges are heated centrally
heated throughout. In addition, all bed linen and towels are
provided.
We are pleased to offer both three
and four bed-roomed options:
FOUR BEDROOMED LODGE comprises of a
triple bedroom on the ground floor with shower room and three
additional bedrooms upstairs including a master double room ensuite,
a spacious twin bedroom ensuite and another twin room along with
separate bath and shower. These lodges sleep up to 9 people.
THE RESIDENCES SUITES We are also
pleased to offer 23 beautifully furnished luxury residences/suites,
which are attached to the Hotel via a bright covered walkway. Each
residence offers the following facilities.
Two bedrooms (1 twin room ensuite and
1 double bedroom both ensuite) sleeping up to 4 people.
A very attractive spacious sitting
room area all with views across the beautiful lake.
Catering facilities comprise of
microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge, crockery, cutlery and
glassware.
Needless to say full dining
facilities are at guests disposal.
An excellent laundry facility is
available exclusively for residence guests.

grounds of the Lough Allen Hotel, The Moorlands Equestrian Centre is

Riding, Pony Trekking, Lessons for all standards and ages,
Equestrian Science Courses, Indoor and Outdoor Arenas, Children are

OUTDOOR PURSUITS
CENTRE This brand new centre on the shores of the Lake and also in
the grounds of the Lough Allen Hotel and Spa is a fabulous facility
for the more energetic traveller. All equipment may be hired and
lessons for both beginners and advanced are available for the
following activities: Canoeing, Sailing, Sail boarding Hill walking.
CHILDREN Children get a very special
welcome at the Hotel and Residences. Special facilities include;

CRUISING While staying in the luxury
of your beautiful Hotel we are pleased to offer you the opportunity
of hiring a cruiser for the day to explore Lough Allen or the Lough
Erne Waterway through Leitrim Village. Enjoy the surrounding natural
unspoilt countryside and waterways and perhaps eat lunch at one of
the waterside pubs en route.
ANGLING Lough Allen is one of
Ireland’s premier Pike waters providing a great variety for the
angler with plenty of bays, shallows and deep stretches. The lake
also offers wonderfully consistent fishing with catches of Bream,
Roach and Hybrids. Lough Allen has a great reputation for producing
enormous catches while other perhaps better-known waters are off
form. Catches of 200-300lb are not uncommon.
VISITOR ATTRACTIONS
The landscape around Drumshanbo is well preserved and stunningly
varied. A number of fabulous visitor attractions are within a short
drive of the development: Parke's Castle, Cavan and Leitrim Railway,
Manorhamilton Castle and Heritage Centre, Swan Island Open Farm,
Sliabh an Iarainn Visitor Centre, Leitrim Design House, Drumkeerin
Heritage Centre, Kinlough Folk Museum, Sean Mac Diarmada Homestead,
genealogical Centre, Corn Mill Theatre and The Organic Centre
DRUMSHANBO Drumshanbo is a
beautifully preserved traditional town with plenty of traditional
pubs, live music (for which the area is famous) and shops. It is
situated in the heart of county Leitrim in rolling countryside on
the shores of Lough Allen. It is easily accessible by rail, road or
river from Dublin, Sligo, Galway and Northern Ireland. N4 from
Dublin via Mullingar and Longford to Carrick-on-Shannon. (2.5 hours)
N3 from Dublin via Cavan and
Belturbet. Then R200 and R205 to Ballyconnell and Ballinamore (2.5
hours).
M1/A4 from Belfast via Dungiven and
Enniskillen. Then the N16 via Blacklion to Manorhamilton (2.5
hours).
A8/M1/A4 from Larne via Belfast,
Dungiven and Enniskillen (2.5 hours).
A mainline train runs daily from
Dublin to Carrick-on-Shannon. From there it is just a short Taxi
ride to The Lough Allen Hotel.
