Shannon Cruise Ireland

shannon curise ireland map

Cruise the Shannon in a relaxing and fun way, and enjoy the beautiful and largely untouched river Shannon landscapes. Enjoy your time on the cruise without the hustle and bustle of the city. The river Shannon, together with it's inner lakes provides hundreds of kilometres of open waterway. We would strongly recommend a Shanon Cruise Ireland trip for anybody needing some rest.

The cruisers accommodate 2 - 8 people depending on the model of the vessel. One way holidays from Carrick on Shannon, Belturbet or Portumna are also available.

You can decide your own destination and stop at as many towns and villages as you like, such as Athlone and Carrick on Shannon. Each one will have a warm welcome for you. There are hundreds of moorings along the river Shannon. Almost every town on the Shannon has several mooring areas, combined with the mooring areas at every lock, you will not be short of a place to moor. After lunch why not sit back and relax on the deck or try some fishing?

Everything for self catering is supplied with the cruiser, you need only bring food and clothing. Rain gear and non slip rubber soled shoes are essential. Gas for cooking and heating is free and life jackets are supplied on every boat.

No licence is required to drive a shannon cruiser. All people will be properly instructed on how to work the cruiser before departing a base. By the time you are on the open water, you will understand fully the simple navigation system on the Shannon.
